THE FEAR, THE CHALLENGE, AND THE DREAM

Success is about being brave in the face of THE FEAR, and open to THE CHALLENGE, in order to realize THE DREAM.
We all have THE DREAM. It represents a desired future state. Your hopes and aspirations, your glowing picture of what you wish to achieve. We all dream, but, far too few of us make it a reality. We ignore it, we say we will do it later, we claim it’s just a dream. Instead, we come to believe that we’re only capable of surviving. Small wins occasionally feel possible, but not THE DREAM.
The main problem is THE FEAR. This is the monster under your bed. It’s that group of negative ideas in your mind about yourself and what might happen to you. Fear of failure is a huge part, as well as fear of negative feedback and criticism, crippling self-doubt, and many other real and perceived foes. THE FEAR crowds your thoughts, kills your confidence, and slows your progress to a crawl.
THE DREAM only survives THE FEAR if you accept THE CHALLENGE. This represents the collective mountain of difficult tasks and situations you will face and must overcome. There are many types: financial difficulties, strained relationships, long hours, lack of clarity, unkind people, projects that don’t work out, and many more. Be clear – just getting by will force you to face plenty of difficult tasks, but if you dream, you must climb a mountain.
Success is about staying focused on THE DREAM no matter what. It’s a mentality that makes everything else possible. It reminds you to take smart risks, define challenging goals, and to invest in the right relationships. You must believe, try, learn, and move forward. You can learn to let THE FEAR motivate you, to allow THE CHALLENGE to help you grow, and to make THE DREAM a reality.
Face THE FEAR. Accept THE CHALLENGE. Realize THE DREAM. Then do it again, and again. Then help another person follow the same path. That’s a life worth living. That’s success.
